WOOHOOO! A Signed Book by Rick Riordan
HELLO, WORLD(S)!
Who wants to join me celebrating over....
Who wants to join me celebrating over....
THIS!
What? the picture is unclear?
Well, here ya go...
THIS!!
Still unclear???
Okay...
THIS!!!
If it's still unclear then perhaps there's something wrong with your eyes ;p
So, on December 9th 2012, about 1.30 pm my time, I won this book. The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. Translated. SIGNED.
The only one in the whole universe.
Yes, I know, wanna scream out and point finger, WHY YOU??
That's the exact thing I had in mind.
WHY ME?
HOW COULD IT BE ME?
HOW COULD IT BE A GIRL NAMED NUR ROHMAH AZ-ZAHRA WHO'S CRAZY ABOUT PERCY JACKSON AND CLEARLY THE MOST RANDOM GIRL IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE?
Okay, a little bit too much perhaps. But I am so THRILLED. And I am not complaining anymore. I don't want to push my luck.
I won the book on an event --Indonesia Reading Festival-- in Plaza Festival, Jakarta. The publisher --Noura Books-- had it as a prize if we could get 20 straight right answers from the quiz they made.
They questions are actually easy. It's just around the serials Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Kane Chronicles and The Heroes of Olympus. Also from the movie Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
I only needed to think a little when I faced a question from Kane Chronicles : What age did Carter and Sadie when their mother died?
But I got it right, of course. The others, well... piece of cake.
Okaaay, sorry if I sounded too proud of myself but, really. All of you PJFans must have answer it right.
Other factor why I could win the book is perhaps because I do a little obsessed with it. I mean, I went to the IRF for only one goal : WON THE SIGNED BOOK. And when I'm arrived and the quiz wasn't opened yet, well, I lost for some moments, wandering around the fest without knowing what to do.
But the prize is worth it. It worth the wait. It worth the troubles I got to get there. It worth the pain in my legs because I was kind of lost when I tried to find the event spot and had to walk for quite a distance.
Although, because I am seriously hoping to get the PJO series or HoO and I only got the KC... I won't stop until I get at least one book of the series. Preferably The Lightning Thief for PJO and Son of Neptune for HoO.
I am really greedy for these.
